(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, NY – A local man was arrested early Saturday morning for driving while intoxicated and multiple traffic violations, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say that on March 15, 2025, 36-year-old Damitrius D. Mack was stopped around 12:55 a.m. on East State Street for driving the wrong way on a posted one-way road. Further investigation determined Mack had a blood alcohol content (BAC) above .08%, leading to his arrest for DWI per se and common law DWI.
Additional charges include operating with a permit-only and driving with open alcohol containers in the vehicle.
Mack was processed and released with appearance tickets to return to Olean City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
