(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of three individuals early Wednesday morning after officers discovered controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. on March 19, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s third platoon stopped a vehicle on the city’s south side for operating without headlights. Upon investigation, police determined that the driver, Gregory J. Comstock, 51, of Warren, and passengers Pablo J. Figueroa, 37, and Christopher L. Decker, 42, both of Jamestown, were in possession of 19 Buprenorphine Naloxone sublingual films without a prescription, along with drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation revealed that Decker was also in possession of one gram of fentanyl. All three were taken into custody and transported to city jail.
Comstock and Decker were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree. Decker faced an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree for fentanyl possession.
Comstock and Decker were released with appearance tickets, while Figueroa remains in custody pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
