(WNY News Now) – Buffalo, NY – A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison for causing a fatal crash that claimed two lives and injured two others in March 2024.

Devin M. Ford, 24, was sentenced before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek after pleading guilty to two counts of manslaughter and assault charges in connection to the high-speed collision at Humboldt Parkway.
The crash occurred on March 21, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Ford was speeding northbound on Main Street with his headlights off when he struck another vehicle at the intersection. Authorities say Ford was the sole occupant of his vehicle and attempted to flee before being taken into custody and transported to ECMC for evaluation.
The crash killed 27-year-old Nasir Musazada, a rideshare driver, and his passenger, 26-year-old Morgan Ehrenbeit of Ohio. Two other passengers, both 31-year-old men from Ohio, sustained serious injuries, with one remaining in long-term rehabilitation.
Ford pleaded guilty in January 2025 to the top charges in the indictment after three counts were dismissed. Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane praised Buffalo Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit for their efforts in the case.
The prosecution was led by Chief Paul J. Glascott, Chief Patrick B. Shanahan, and Assistant District Attorney Christine O. Murray.
