(WNY News Now) – A semi-truck struck the CSX Bridge on Brigham Rd in Dunkirk Wednesday morning, causing property damage but no injuries, according to the Dunkirk Police Department.

Dunkirk, N.Y. – At approximately 11:57 AM, Dunkirk police responded to reports of a semi-truck that had collided with the south side of the CSX Bridge. Authorities found that the truck, traveling north on Brigham Rd, had struck the bridge’s overpass with the top of the trailer it was hauling.

CSX officials arrived on the scene to inspect the bridge for any damage. The Dunkirk Department of Public Works (DPW) assisted by clearing debris from the roadway, ensuring the area was safe for motorists.

No charges have been filed in connection with the incident, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
