(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTT, N.Y. — A Jamestown man faces charges after allegedly shoplifting from a Target store and providing a false name to police.

According to the Town of Ellicott Police, officers responded to a reported shoplifting incident at Target on March 30, 2025. An investigation determined that Tyler T. Manelick, 28, had taken merchandise from the store without paying. During the police inquiry, Manelick allegedly provided a false identity to officers.

Manelick was charged with Petit Larceny and False Personation. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
