(WNY News Now) – GERRY, NY – Two Sinclairville residents were arrested after allegedly trespassing on private property and taking items without permission, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 29, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence on Damon Hill Road in the Town of Gerry. An investigation determined that Toni L. Long, 35, and Robert C. Johnston, 33, had unlawfully entered the property multiple times and removed items without consent.

Both individuals were charged with criminal trespass in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, and petit larceny, all misdemeanors. They were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Gerry Court at a later date.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
