(WNY News Now) – A multi-agency narcotics investigation led to the arrest of two Ohio women in Celoron on Thursday evening, with authorities seizing more than two pounds of methamphetamine.

CELORON, NY – Investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had been tracking a methamphetamine trafficking operation between Akron, Ohio, and the Jamestown area for the past three years. Acting on intelligence received about a large drug shipment, authorities conducted a traffic stop at a residence on Boulevard Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

A DEA-obtained search warrant for the vehicle resulted in the discovery of over 2 pounds of methamphetamine. Celina Serva, 26, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and will be arraigned in U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York in Buffalo on Friday, April 4.

Leslie Carnes, 46, also of Akron, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Ellicott Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
