(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident was arrested Friday evening after allegedly damaging property and violating a court order during a domestic incident.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On April 4, 2025, at approximately 7:39 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on the city’s northside.

Upon arrival, officers identified Michael J. Connolly, a Jamestown resident, as the individual involved in the incident. According to police, an investigation determined that Connolly had damaged property belonging to the victim during the dispute. Further investigation revealed that Connolly had also violated a valid “Refrain From” Order of Protection in place at the time of the incident.

Connolly was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was subsequently charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
