(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was taken into custody Saturday evening after allegedly violating an active order of protection during a domestic dispute.
JAMESTOWN – On April 5, 2025, at approximately 7:16 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on the city’s South Side.
Upon arrival, police learned that 62-year-old Jamestown resident Hipolito J. Pacheco Jr. had allegedly threatened to harm a female victim and threw food at her during the altercation. Officers confirmed there was an active Refrain from Order of Protection in place between Pacheco and the victim.
Based on the violation of the order and the reported threats, Pacheco was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Pacheco is facing charges of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a Class E felony, and Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation. He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
