(WNY News Now) – A 22-year-old Jamestown resident was taken into custody after police reportedly discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a late-night traffic stop.
JAMESTOWN – On Sunday, April 6, 2025, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a vehicle stop at the intersection of Baker Street and Chapman Street for an observed traffic violation.
During the course of the stop, police identified a male passenger, 22-year-old Branden Ryan of Jamestown. According to authorities, further investigation revealed that Ryan was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine along with a digital scale, which is commonly associated with drug use or distribution.
Ryan was taken into custody at the scene without incident. He is facing charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
Ryan is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
