(WNY News Now) – A Falconer resident faces a petit larceny charge after allegedly stealing a briefcase from a local business.

ELLICOTT — The Town of Ellicott Police Department has charged 37-year-old Shaun P. Clutter of Falconer with petit larceny following an incident at a business in the Village of Falconer.

On April 3, 2025, officers responded to a larceny complaint involving a stolen briefcase. According to the report, Clutter allegedly took a briefcase containing personal items belonging to an employee inside the store.

Following an investigation, police located and charged Clutter. He was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to address the charge.

After the incident, Clutter was also turned over to another law enforcement agency due to outstanding warrants unrelated to the case. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
