(WNY News Now) – Jamestown police arrested Dylan M. Abbey and Tracy A. Wadsworth after a suspicious vehicle investigation on the city’s west side, leading to drug possession charges and the discovery of large quantities of narcotics.
Jamestown, N.Y. – On April 8, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM, Jamestown Police responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on the city’s west side. Upon arrival, officers approached the vehicle and observed Dylan M. Abbey exiting. Officers had prior knowledge that Abbey, 32, had an active arrest warrant issued by the Jamestown Police Department and promptly took him into custody.
Inside the vehicle, officers found Tracy A. Wadsworth, 39, who initially identified himself as “Jay Wadsworth.” After further investigation, it was revealed that his real name was Tracy Wadsworth. Officers also learned that Wadsworth had an active warrant for his arrest through the Jamestown Police Department. He, too, was taken into custody.
A search of Abbey’s person revealed a quantity of methamphetamine. Both Abbey and Wadsworth were transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing. Officers then conducted a search of the vehicle, uncovering 102.4 grams of methamphetamine, 15.1 grams of cocaine, additional methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, digital scales, and a large sum of cash.
As a result of the investigation, Abbey faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Wadsworth is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees, two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, and criminal impersonation in the second degree.
Both suspects remain held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
