(WNY News Now) – Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening after a car veered off Lake Street and came to rest near railroad tracks.
MACHIAS — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at approximately 6:55 p.m. on Lake Street in the Town of Machias.
According to deputies, a 2014 Ford Fusion left the roadway after turning from Potter Road onto Lake Street. The vehicle sustained heavy damage after traveling down an embankment and coming to a stop near a set of railroad tracks.
The driver reported that she misjudged the sharpness of the turn. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued at the scene.
