(WNY News Now) – Kevin B. Johnson faces multiple charges, including aggravated criminal contempt, assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing after allegedly violating an order of protection during a domestic incident in Jamestown.

JAMESTOWN – On April 10, 2025, at approximately 7:19 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a reported domestic incident on the city’s south side.

Through an on-scene investigation, authorities determined that 39-year-old Jamestown resident Kevin B. Johnson had allegedly violated an active order of protection. Police say Johnson physically assaulted the victim by holding them down, hitting, and choking them during the altercation.

Additionally, Johnson reportedly damaged multiple electronic devices as the victim attempted to contact emergency services for help.

Johnson was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is charged with the following offenses:

  • Criminal Obstruction of Breathing
  • Two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree
  • Assault in the Third Degree
  • Unlawful Imprisonment
  • Aggravated Criminal Contempt

Johnson is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
