(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown led to the arrest of two individuals after officers recovered a ghost gun and high-capacity magazine.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 3:04 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department conducted a vehicle stop at the intersection of Falconer Street and Thayer Street for observed traffic violations.

The occupants of the vehicle were identified as 20-year-old Caden L. Barrett and 19-year-old Airianna A. Parkhurst, both residents of Falconer.

During the course of the investigation, officers searched the vehicle and discovered an unregistered handgun equipped with a large-capacity ammunition feeding device. Authorities later confirmed that the firearm was a ghost gun—a weapon without a serial number, making it difficult to trace.

Barrett and Parkhurst were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Both individuals were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree for the high-capacity magazine, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree for possession of a ghost gun.

The suspects are currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

One response to “Two Falconer Residents Arrested on Weapons Charges Following Traffic Stop in Jamestown”

  1. Did they commit harm, injury, damage, or loss? I’m confused. The constitution gives not rights or authority to any corporation but this corporation just violated the civil rights of a citizen? They have the right to bear arms. And no law is broken unless harm, injury, damage, or loss has occurred. Remember that a statute is a “corporate law”. Unless you’re a member or property of said corporation those rules are negated by the constitution. So when you go into court and they tell you you can’t have a cell phone or that all phones must be off and then all the attorneys , the DA (who, when they say the people are ready they’re referring to the people.llc, not actual people) even the judge will be on their phone. The ironic thing is they’re the members of the corporation and the rules only apply to them.
