(WNY News Now) – Christopher M. McChesney, 54, was arrested on April 15, 2025, for violating an order of protection in the Town of Gerry.

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 1:17 AM, deputies responded to a call reporting a possible violation of an order of protection at an address on Route 60 in the Town of Gerry. Upon investigation, law enforcement confirmed that Christopher M. McChesney, 54, had violated a stay-away order of protection.

Authorities discovered McChesney had engaged in verbal communication with the protected individual, during which he made threatening statements. This behavior led to his arrest on charges of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree.

Following his arrest, McChesney was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail (CCJ) for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in court for further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
