(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – On April 13, 2025, Laval A. Johnson, a 41-year-old Jamestown resident, was taken into custody on an active probation warrant. During the booking process at the Jamestown City Jail, officers discovered Johnson in possession of a small quantity of cocaine.

The Jamestown Police Department brought Johnson into the city jail at approximately 4:13 PM. In addition to the probation violation, Johnson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree for the cocaine found on his person.

Johnson is currently being held at the city jail and is awaiting arraignment. The case will be presented in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
