(WNY News Now) – Family fun, history, hands-on creativity, and free comic books converge in Warren this Saturday for a day designed to ignite imaginations of all ages.

Warren, Pa. – Downtown Warren streets will be overflowing with more than 20 booths of hands-on activities and fun at the third annual Interactive Festival on Saturday, May 3, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. In observance of National Free Comic Book Day, 1,000 comic books will be given away during those same hours.

The Festival is free and for all ages. 

Second Avenue between Liberty Street and the fountain will be filled with Montante Sword Fighting instruction, Toy Shoppe wood yo-yo decorating, building blocks and play dough at the Creativity Center, math games and science experiments, seeds to plant for your garden, constructing and playing musical instruments, basket raffles, food, desserts, and so much more.

The Warren Children’s Choir performs at 10:30 a.m. 

You can see history firsthand with the Kalkbrenner Brothers display of memorabilia from both the Vietnam and Second World Wars. 

John Beard’s Magic Show will keep everyone guessing how he does it.

In celebration of National Free Comic Book Day, Kids Town Books in Warren Antiques, 306 2nd Avenue, is giving out 1,000 free comic books from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., first come, first served. 

The Interactive Festival 2025 is presented by Free Books for Kids Town.
