(WNY News Now) – A 26-year-old Jamestown resident is in custody after allegedly throwing a rock through the victim’s residence and striking a woman in the head, in violation of an active order of protection.

Jamestown police responded to a reported fight on the city’s East Side at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Officers from the 1st Platoon arrived on the scene and discovered that one of the individuals involved in the altercation was subject to an active order of protection.

The suspect, identified as Robert BD Brinkley, 26, of Jamestown, was found to have violated that order. According to investigators, Brinkley allegedly threw a rock through the victim’s residence, striking a woman in the head and causing physical injury.

Brinkley was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is facing multiple charges, including Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree.

He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
