(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is facing charges following a late-night domestic incident involving property damage and a protection order violation.

Jamestown Police arrested 30-year-old Kevin Lopez on the night of May 3, 2025, following a reported domestic dispute on the city’s south side.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to a residence where Lopez was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with a female victim. During the argument, police say Lopez intentionally damaged the victim’s property.

Further investigation revealed that Lopez was under a valid “refrain from” order of protection, which he violated by engaging in offensive conduct during the incident. As a result, he was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

Lopez was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held in the Jamestown City Jail, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
