(WNY News Now) – A 20-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening a person with a knife on the city’s westside.

Jamestown Police responded to a report of a person with a weapon on the westside of the city around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

According to police, officers from the second platoon arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, which revealed that Nethaniel Mohney, 20, had allegedly threatened a victim with a knife.

Mohney was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State law.

At the time of this report, Mohney is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
