(WNY News Now) – Jesse Erhard, 34, of Forestville, has been sentenced to seven years in state prison after violating probation related to felony drug and weapon convictions.

MAYVILLE – Jesse Erhard, a 34-year-old resident of Forestville, was sentenced on May 22 by Chautauqua County Court Judge David Foley to a total of seven years in state prison for violating probation on two felony charges.

Erhard received seven years for a probation violation on a charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and five years for a probation violation on a charge of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. The sentences will run concurrently, followed by a three-year term of post-release supervision.

The sentencing follows a series of legal proceedings that began in August 2023, when Erhard was arrested after the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant. In December 2023, a Chautauqua County Grand Jury indicted Erhard on multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third and Fourth Degrees, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Erhard later entered a guilty plea in September 2024 to the third-degree drug possession charge and attempted weapon possession. He was placed on a five-year probation term as part of a plea agreement.

However, on March 10, 2025, Erhard was arrested by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and road patrol for new offenses, leading to his admission of violating the conditions of his probation.

District Attorney Jason Schmidt expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of local law enforcement and probation services thanking the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for their work on these cases and the Chautauqua County Department of Probation for their diligent supervision of probationers.
