(WNY News Now) – On May 23, 2025, Jamestown Police arrested 37-year-old Michael C. Hillman for criminal contempt, resisting arrest, and an outstanding warrant after he was found inside a residence where he was ordered to stay away.
At approximately 8:08 p.m. on May 23, 2025, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a residence on the westside of Jamestown as part of a Domestic Violence GIVE detail and warrant check. During the investigation, police discovered Michael C. Hillman inside the home despite an active order of protection requiring him to remain away from the victim’s residence.
With permission from the victim, officers entered the apartment and located Hillman hiding in a crawl space. Hillman initially refused to leave the space despite multiple commands but eventually complied and was taken into custody without further incident.
Hillman was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. He faces charges of first-degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest, and possession of an outstanding arrest warrant. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
