(WNY News Now) – On May 24, 2025, Jamestown police arrested 34-year-old Darieli Rodriguez following a traffic stop that revealed impaired driving and drug-related offenses.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. on May 24, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of East 2nd Street and Prendergast Avenue. The stop followed the observation of multiple traffic violations by the vehicle’s operator.

The driver was identified as Darieli Rodriguez, age 34. Upon investigation, officers determined that Rodriguez was operating the vehicle while impaired by a combination of alcohol and drugs. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

During processing, authorities discovered that Rodriguez attempted to conceal a metal container holding MDMA (commonly known as Ecstasy) in the patrol vehicle. As a result, she was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

In addition to the DWAI and drug charges, Rodriguez received multiple uniform traffic tickets (UTTs) related to the traffic infractions observed during the stop.

Rodriguez is currently being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending her arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
