(WNY News Now) – Cattaraugus County deputies arrested a 35-year-old New Albion woman on a warrant from Cheektowaga on May 23.

NEW ALBION — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a New Albion resident on an active bench warrant issued by the Cheektowaga Police Department.

Deputies took 35-year-old Bethany A. Phinney into custody on May 23, 2025, at approximately 1:36 p.m. after observing her outside her residence on Mosher Hollow Road.

Authorities confirmed that Phinney was wanted on a warrant originating from Cheektowaga, prompting her immediate arrest without incident.

She was subsequently transferred to the custody of the Cheektowaga Police Department for further legal proceedings related to the warrant. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
