(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A 21-year-old Jamestown resident is facing charges after police responded to a domestic incident on the city’s southside early Tuesday morning.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon were dispatched to a residence at approximately 3:40 a.m. on June 3, 2025, for a reported domestic disturbance.

During the investigation, police allege that Gabriel S. Colburn unlawfully restrained the victim by preventing them from leaving a room and subsequently pinning them to the ground. While officers were on scene, Colburn reportedly made several attempts to retreat into the residence but was eventually taken into custody without further incident.

Colburn has been charged with Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
