(WNY News Now) – CELORON, NY — A Leon man is facing multiple charges following a late-night traffic stop conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
According to deputies, at approximately 11:27 p.m., a vehicle was pulled over on Dunham Avenue in the Village of Celoron for having no or inadequate lighting. The driver was identified as 31-year-old Hunter Q. Brown of Leon, NY.
An investigation at the scene determined that Brown was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and No/Inadequate Lights.
Brown was released and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
