(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. — A 35-year-old Dunkirk woman was arrested three times over four days following multiple incidents involving criminal mischief and trespassing at a Lake Shore Drive West business.
According to the Dunkirk Police Department, Vanessa R. Stevens was first issued an appearance ticket on June 4, 2025, after allegedly damaging several light fixtures at a local business and being ordered to stay off the property.
The following evening, on June 5, officers were called back to the same location after Stevens reportedly returned, caused a disturbance, and refused to leave. She was arrested and charged with trespassing.
On June 7, officers responded once again to the business after a vehicle on the property sustained significant damage. Following an investigation, Stevens was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for her arrest on a second-degree criminal mischief charge—a felony.
Stevens is currently being held at Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment on the latest charge.
Police have charged her with:
Trespass (PL 140.05)
Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree (PL 145.10)
Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (PL 145.00[1])
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
