(WNY News Now) – On June 23, 2025, a routine traffic stop on Jamestown’s north side resulted in the arrest of two individuals for methamphetamine possession and an active warrant.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. on June 23, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop in the north side of Jamestown. The driver, 44-year-old Joseph Davis of Cattaraugus, was found to have an active arrest warrant issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation, police discovered that the passenger, 39-year-old Christine Park of Jamestown, was in possession of approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine. An additional 0.8 grams of methamphetamine was found inside the vehicle.

Both Davis and Park were taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail. Davis was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and issued a traffic citation for failing to signal at least 100 feet before turning. Park was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and held pending arraignment due to multiple prior failures to appear in court.

Following processing, Davis was transferred to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Park remains in custody awaiting arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
