Police say the suspect was wanted on multiple felony domestic violence warrants.

(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown woman was arrested Thursday evening following a domestic violence investigation on the city’s northside, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

On June 19, 2025, at approximately 8:16 p.m., officers from the 2nd Platoon responded to a report of a domestic incident at a residence on the northside of Jamestown. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the caller, identified as 28-year-old Ladaya R. Blankenship.

Following an investigation, officers discovered that Blankenship had multiple active arrest warrants related to domestic violence. They also found that she was in violation of a valid order of protection by allegedly harassing the protected individual.

Blankenship was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a felony, and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
