Deputies arrest 52-year-old Dennis P. Strader Jr. on active warrant and license violation following call in Machias.
(WNY News Now) – MACHIAS, NY – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Springville man on the evening of June 19 after responding to a report of an unwanted person on Route 16 in the Town of Machias.
According to authorities, deputies encountered 52-year-old Dennis P. Strader Jr. around 6:15 p.m. during the call and discovered he had an active arrest warrant issued by the Arcade Police Department. Further investigation revealed Strader was also operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, resulting in an additional charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree.
Strader was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Arcade Police Department for further processing. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
