(WNY News Now) – On Monday, June 23rd, at approximately 8:38 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to a shooting incident at the intersection of Hier Avenue and Knaul Street, resulting in injuries to three children.

Upon arrival, officers found a 9-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the arm, an 8-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to the buttocks, and a 12-year-old boy with a graze wound to the foot. All three were transported to Upstate University Hospital and are currently in stable condition.

The Syracuse Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
