(WNY News Now) – YORKSHIRE, N.Y. – A 40-year-old Springville man was arrested late Tuesday night after a traffic stop in the Town of Yorkshire led to the discovery of multiple violations and an outstanding warrant.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Kenneth H. Cornell was stopped on Pioneer Lane near Route 16 around 11:11 p.m. on June 24, 2025. Deputies initiated the stop due to vehicle equipment violations, including inadequate lights and an inadequate muffler.

During the investigation, authorities discovered Cornell’s driver’s license was suspended. Further checks revealed an active warrant for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs issued by the Village of Arcade Police Department.

Cornell was issued three uniform traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, No/Inadequate Lights, and No/Inadequate Muffler. He was subsequently turned over to the Village of Arcade Police Department to address the pending warrant. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
