(WNY News Now) – A 19-year-old Orchard Park man was arrested on July 4th after deputies say he was found driving while intoxicated in the Town of Hanover.
HANOVER, NY — On Thursday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 9:36 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Iola Drive in the Town of Hanover.
According to authorities, the driver was identified as 19-year-old Amir O. Jassim of Orchard Park, NY. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Jassim was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Jassim was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Unsafe Starting.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
