(WNY News Now) – Two Jamestown residents were arrested at The Wine Cellar on North Main Street after police responded to a reported fight and uncovered drug-related offenses and a warrant.

JAMESTOWN – Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s third platoon arrested two individuals early Thursday morning, July 10, following a reported fight at The Wine Cellar located at 309 N. Main St.

Responding to the 1:37 a.m. call, officers found no active physical altercation but identified 30-year-old Tarice A. Echevarria, a Jamestown resident, as having an active warrant from Jamestown City Court. He was taken into custody without incident.

During the arrest, police observed Echevarria attempting to pass his personal items to 20-year-old Jordan T. Berry, also of Jamestown. Berry allegedly tried to hide the items from officers. A search revealed a bag containing suspected narcotics among the belongings.

Berry then provided officers with a false date of birth, reportedly due to being underage inside the bar. He was taken into custody on multiple charges, including criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree (two counts), tampering with physical evidence (two counts), and false personation.

Echevarria was charged with two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of tampering with physical evidence. Both individuals were held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
