Ty S. Ellis, 54, taken into custody on two active Family Court warrants, later released on recognizance.

(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTTVILLE, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of Ty S. Ellis, 54, of Olean, following the execution of two active Family Court warrants on the evening of Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Ellis was located at a business on Mill Street in the Village of Ellicottville around 8:02 p.m. Deputies, with assistance from the Ellicottville Police Department, apprehended him without incident.

Ellis was wanted on two separate violations of the Family Court Act. He was transported to Ellicottville Town Court for arraignment, where he was subsequently released on his own recognizance. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
