Deputies took Steven J. King into custody without incident following warrant discovery.

(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, NY – A 39-year-old Lyndon man was arrested Saturday morning after Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted him riding a bicycle in Olean and discovered an active bench warrant for his arrest.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed Steven J. King near the 500 block of West State Street at approximately 8:18 a.m. on July 26, 2025. Upon a warrant check, deputies confirmed King was wanted on a bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Superior Criminal Court.

King was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail. Authorities say he will remain in custody pending further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
