Police: Man broke multiple window screens during early morning incident

(WNY News Now) – TOWN OF ELLICOTT — A Jamestown man is facing charges after police responded to a report of a disorderly subject early Wednesday morning.

According to the Town of Ellicott Police Department, officers arrested 30-year-old Aaron A. Johnson on July 30, 2025, at approximately 7:08 a.m. following a disturbance involving property damage. Authorities allege that Johnson broke multiple window screens during the incident.

Johnson was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
