Chautauqua County deputies arrest 67-year-old for alleged drunk driving late Sunday night.
(WNY News Now) – MAYVILLE, N.Y. — A 67-year-old man from Canfield, Ohio was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Town of Chautauqua late Sunday night, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the stop occurred around 11:33 p.m. on August 3, 2025, after the vehicle failed to keep right on a roadway near Mayville. The driver, identified as Anthony J. Dascenzo, was found to be intoxicated during the investigation.
Dascenzo was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Keep Right.
He was later released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
