Police say suspect injured adult victim, endangered minor during altercation
(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges following a reported domestic dispute late Friday night on the city’s north side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Third Platoon responded to an address shortly before midnight on August 8, 2025, for a report of a fight.
An investigation determined that 41-year-old David L. Lewis Jr. allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with two female victims, one of whom was a minor. Police say Lewis caused physical injury to the adult victim and damaged her glasses during the incident.
Lewis was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Authorities said Lewis is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
