Deputies Locate Suspect Driving on North East Sherman Road
(WNY News Now) – On August 8, 2025, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 43-year old on DWI charges after responding to a welfare check in the Village of Mayville.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies spoke with individuals at the scene and learned that a man may have left the area while intoxicated. The subject, identified as 43-year-old Thomas M. Zemcik of Mayville, was located driving on North East Sherman Road.
Deputies determined Zemcik was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Zemcik was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and DWI Per Se.
He was released with appearance tickets for the Town of Ripley Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
