(WNY News Now) – HANOVER, N.Y. – A West Seneca man faces multiple charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Hanover early Saturday morning.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a stop on Allegany Road near Iola Drive at approximately 12:42 a.m. on August 9, 2025. The driver, identified as 55-year-old Douglas E. Czechowski, was allegedly found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Deputies reported that further investigation determined Czechowski’s blood alcohol content was at or above 0.08 percent. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Czechowski was released and is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
