(WNY News Now) – POMFRET, N.Y. – A Pomfret woman is facing charges after deputies responded to a reported trespass on Fredonia Stockton Road Sunday afternoon.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the location around 2:16 p.m. on August 17, 2025, for a possible trespassing incident. Upon arrival, deputies determined that Jamie L. Schoener, 46, of Pomfret, had entered a dwelling and remained inside unlawfully.

Schoener was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass in the second degree. She was later released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
