(WNY News Now) – WESTFIELD, N.Y. – A Syracuse man was arrested early Sunday morning after deputies responded to a reported altercation in the Village of Westfield.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene at around 12:51 a.m. on August 17, 2025. Following an investigation, authorities determined that 41-year-old Louren J. Neves of Syracuse subjected another individual to unwanted physical contact.
Neves was taken into custody without further incident and charged with harassment in the second degree. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where he was held for the Centralized Arraignment Program. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
