(WNY News Now) – CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, N.Y. — A traffic stop in the Town of New Albion resulted in the arrest of a Great Valley woman after deputies discovered suspected fentanyl in her vehicle.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 353 around 4:51 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, after observing a vehicle with switched license plates.

During the stop, deputies identified the driver as Christina S. Wyatt, 47, of Great Valley. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected fentanyl. Wyatt was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

She was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and released with an appearance ticket. Wyatt is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
