(WNY News Now) – RANDOLPH, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 23-year-old Jamestown man on a warrant related to a grand larceny charge.

According to deputies, Christian L. Frankiewicz was taken into custody on Friday, September 5, 2025, at noon. Authorities said Jamestown Police first located Frankiewicz and transferred him to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest warrant originated out of the Town of South Valley, where Frankiewicz was wanted on a charge of fourth-degree grand larceny. Deputies said he was processed and later arraigned in South Valley Court.

Court officials released Frankiewicz on his own recognizance following arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
