(WNY News Now) – Jamestown police charged a 22-year-old man with criminal contempt after responding to a reported order of protection violation on the city’s south side Friday evening.
Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon officers were dispatched to a south side residence around 6:00 p.m. on September 12, 2025, following a complaint of an order of protection violation.
Upon arrival, officers said they found Zachery Vorse, 22, at the home of an individual protected under a court-issued order of protection. Vorse was taken into custody without incident.
Police transported him to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. He is facing a charge of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
