(WNY News Now) – PORTLAND, N.Y. — A Falconer woman is facing multiple charges after deputies say she drove while intoxicated and caused a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Portland on Tuesday evening.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported that around 8:48 p.m. on September 23, 2025, deputies responded to a crash in Portland. Following an investigation, deputies determined that the driver, identified as 25-year-old Itzamarie G. Rose of Falconer, had been operating her vehicle while intoxicated.

Rose was taken to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing, where she was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, DWI per se, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree, and backing unsafely.

She was released with uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Portland Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
