Deputies say 36-year-old violated order of protection

(WNY News Now) – HANOVER, N.Y. — Deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hanover woman late Thursday night following a harassment complaint.

Authorities reported that on September 25, 2025, around 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to an incident in the Town of Hanover. Following an investigation, deputies determined that 36-year-old Jaralyn E. Majak had violated an active order of protection.

Majak was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree. She was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
