(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges after police responded to a report of a disorderly person at UPMC Chautauqua early Saturday morning.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd platoon were called to the hospital’s emergency room at approximately 2:01 a.m. on September 27, 2025. Upon arrival, officers learned that 21-year-old Anthony M. Brown had allegedly threatened hospital staff with a pocket knife he brought into the ER.
Police say Brown resisted when officers attempted to take him into custody, leading to a brief struggle before he was secured and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. No injuries were reported.
Brown has been charged with Menacing in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
